Okay so yesterday i was going to post some pics of what I have been up to this month. Instead this little head cold I have been fighting gave me a monster headache all day. It verged on migraine, but after some rest, Tylenol, almonds, more rest, chocolate, diet pepsi, more chocolate, and lots of water it finally eased up.
Today we have snow again. Lots of snow. Would love to show you, but seriously, it's snow- who cares what it looks like after the first 10 inches of the season!
I will be back later with pictures of quilts and stuff!

The truth about it all....
Well the truth about it all is that in 2008 I posted 28 times on my blog.
So far in 2009 this is the 24th post and I only have a few more days left to improve that number.
Seriously, I don't get caught up in competition, not even with myself. But I do like to think that I am always striving to do better. In this case, I am failing. I must do something about it.
SO I am re-dedicating myself to this blog, and to my lovely thirteen subscribers whoever you are! I do know many more people out there read blogs, and do not subscribe or comment on the blogs they read. I am the same as everyone else that way.
Whatever you like to do, if you are reading my somewhat pathetic blog-- I truly appreciate it. Therefore I will be better about blogging, posting or whatever we call it!
Let's set a goal for me--- how about one post each day until the end of this year--- and then two times weekly in 2010. I will see about doing better than my goal-but I'm being realistic here.
Thanks for sticking with me!
Tomorrow---PICTURES!!!

November Picnic circa 1930's
It's time for my November Schnibbles quilt photo. This one really was supposed to be done two weeks ago, and I got side-tracked. Big surprise there!
So I chose to make this Schnibbles pattern "Picnic", in 1930's repros. These are my all time favorite fabric style. I love so many it is hard to choose, but this is the one I always turn to. I cannot quit the 30's- they speak to me in a way I cannot describe. I just love the repros!
I also changed couple of things in the finished top. There are four white corner squares instead of pieced blocks. I could admit I got tired of making the little devils, but really I want to applique some flowers in those blocks instead. Applique is really becoming something I love in every quilt now--watch for more patterns in applique!
So here it is. I love it and I hope you do too!! Click on the button on the right for the "A Year of Schnibbles" Parades!

Meteors=great ideas at Midnight?
Last night was a very uneventful evening until after I went to bed. Laying there listening to my husband snore (which he doesn't do often) I could not sleep. I finally got some noise control and was trying to sleep when what to my wondering eyes should appear? A giant meteor streaked across our sky and lit my bedroom up like it was daytime for about 4-5 seconds. At the time I didn't realize it was a meteor, but I knew it was odd. I found out this morning what had created this bright light.
By the way, my husband did not wake up from this, so I was the only witness at my house. Other people in the city saw it and recorded it too. (What were they doing up at midnight video taping the night sky???)
I have been toying with an idea for a quilt for each of my girls for Christmas. I got a great Layer Cake from Kaufman at Sample Spree in Houston.
It is their new Girls Scouts fabric line. It is too cute! My idea just was not quite right though. I could not get started on it.
But last might I had an a-ha moment after the meteor sped by!
Now I can't wait to get started on the quilts--it might become one of my new patterns!
Gotta go sew--it has been too long!
